Moodboard #15 - Roger Deakins

Roger Deakins is one of Hollywood's leading cinematographers and has been nominated for multiple Oscars for Best Cinematography. He is the master of the silhouette shot, as seen in three out of four of the images below, but retains very powerful images throughout his films. Deakins is one of the few cinematographers who makes cinematography a key aspect of the film. Many cinematographers do obvious, simple shots that get the job done, but Deakins takes it a step further and turns every frame into a work of art.
